Biography :
Dirk M Hermann studied medicine at the University of Gießen, Germany. After completing postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Planck Institutes in Munich and Cologne, he pursued his clinical training at university hospitals in Tübingen and Zurich. He is now Professor of Vascular Neurology, Dementia and Ageing Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen, working on neurovascular remodelling and brain plasticity with special focus on ischaemic stroke.
