Biography :

Dr. Xiaodong Xun is an attending surgeon in the Department of General Surgery at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, Capital Medical University. He specializes in gastrointestinal oncology and minimally invasive surgery. His research focuses on perioperative optimization, prehabilitation, and enhanced recovery pathways in older adults undergoing cancer surgery. Dr. Xun has published multiple meta-analyses and clinical studies on surgical outcomes and functional recovery. He is actively involved in Beijing municipal research projects investigating interventions to improve postoperative quality of life in elderly surgical patients. He is committed to advancing evidence-based, patient-centered care for the aging population.
