Biography :
Dr. Ya Cui is a research assistant professor of computational biology in neuroscience at UC Irvine. His research interest is revealing the molecular mechanisms of human brain disorders by integrating population-scale multi-omics sequence data and clinical information from biobanks, such as UK Biobank and All of Us. His current research is focused on understanding the genetic basis of tandem repeat (TR) and alternative polyadenylation (APA) in association with complex traits and diseases, such as Alzheimer's Disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
